Institute for Teen Evangelism
The Institute for Teen Evangelism (ITE) is a nine-month on-the-job staff training program. Students will learn the essentials to youth ministry and apply their training by working in the ministry of Teens for Christ!


You will learn the "how-to's" of youth ministry:

  • * Counseling at teen Rallies
  • * Preaching & Teaching
  • * Running Bible Clubs
  • * "Hot" teen issues
  • * Lock-ins & other special events
  • * Summer Camps
  • * Sharing testimonies
  • * Plus much more!

You will also learn how to stay in youth ministry by:

  • * Raising personal/missionary
    support
  • * Resolving conflicts
  • * Working with churches
  • * Producing your own monthly
    newsletters
  • * Printing News and Views
    and other fliers
  • * Recruiting and keeping
    volunteer help
  • * Maintaining your personal finances
  • * Running a Public Relations
    (advertising) campaign

Your training will include instruction from the Teens For Christ staff and other area Youth Ministers. You will be trained by people who have been serving full-time in youth missions for years. Every regular instructor has at least 9 - 10 years of full-time ministry experience. This nine month program begins every year in early September, and runs through the end of May.
