Donation of Stocks/Mutual Funds

For stock and mutual fund gifts, shares are transferred into an account owned by Teens For Christ. A Stock Administrator then sells the shares as soon as possible. A deposit is electronically issued to TFC for the value of the stock or mutual fund. Finally, the deposit is credited at TFC according to your intentions.

To initiate this process, you can use the Stock Transfer Form to instruct your broker to transfer your shares from your account to Teens For Christ.

After you initiate the process, it is very important to contact TFC with the same information.  This can be done by forwarding a copy of the Stock Transfer Form to TFC or by forwarding the following information to Teens For Christ:

·         Your name and address

·         Date you request the stock be transferred

·         Name and number of shares transferred (to give us an idea of what to expect)

·         Purpose of the gift (designated to who or what)

In most cases, we are not notified of the transfer by your broker. Therefore, this information is required so that we can properly acknowledge your gift and designate the funds to the staff or ministry of your preference. It can be sent by mail, email, or phone message.
