Statement of Faith

1.      We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:19-21).

2.      We believe that there is one God (Deut. 6:4), eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:1-2).

3.      We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Col. 2:9), in His virgin birth (Matt. 1:18), His sinless life (Heb. 4:14-15), His miracles (Matt. 4:23), His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross (2 Cor. 5:21; Rev. 5:9), His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:20), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Eph. 1:20-21), and in His personal, tangible return in power and glory (Matt. 24:30; Rev. 1:7).

4.      We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (John 3:3-8).

5.      We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:9-17; Gal. 5:16-24).

6.      We believe in the resurrection of the body for the saved and lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment (2 Thess. 1:6-10).

7.      We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Gal. 3:27-28).

8.      We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen. 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

9.      We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe that marriage between one man and one woman, for life, uniquely reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church (Eph. 5:21-33). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

10.  We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps. 139.)
